Summary. Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) is a neurodegenerative disease, characterized by progressive degeneration of I° or II° motor neurons of Nervous Central System, whose cure has not still found. Therefore ALS patients develop anxious and depressive symptoms, for that psychological intervention is needed in a multidisciplinary context, collaborating with the patient to help him to reach a good quality of life and a death with dignity. There aren’t any studies in literature about psychological approach for these patients and so the objective of this work is to apply the Brief Adlerian Psychodynamic Psychotherapy (B-APP) with patients affected by ALS.
