Summary. The Services of Neuropsychiatry and Developmental Psychology are now increasingly faced with the psychological problems of children and adolescents which can be considered “at risk” because they often are, at the same time, fought children of separated (and sometimes pathological) parents, victims of sexual or psychological abuse, socially and emotionally deprived minors. Minors’ psychopathology becomes, in this cases, an expression of important problems in the relationship with caregivers. These situations are so complex that a network is required. Besides, it is not always possible to obtain effective results. In these patients the feeling of insecurity can take a so pervasive character as to influence strongly their personality and behavior: in every situation and relation they will try to get a “purely imaginary elimination of inferiority” (Adler, 1912). Especially in high conflict separation it is possible to see many “fiction” into family, for example one of the parents is refused by the child, “as if” he were nonexistent or dead, while the other is idealized. This paper will reflect on the “fictions” of patients, institutions and psychotherapists in the network treatment with children and adolescents.
