Summary. The integration of Neuroscience and Transcultural Psychiatry is an useful method to study the complexity of those phenomena such as the function of dreaming in the theory of knowledge. Through the analysis of dreams we can better study the notion of “normal” and “superior” states of consciousness, trance, mysticism, religious inspiration and visions during the watch.
